Got ourselves “Meyer Lemon Trees” by our sunny window. Sweet fragrance from the flower ♡ 🍋.  They’re supposed to grow great indoors, and will save us lots of money on lemons!

The one on left is about 4 foot tree, and should have fruit this year, in the fall or winter.  The one on the right is 2 feet tall and it will be a few years before it’s giving us fruit.  They already have nice flowers with a sweet scent. Flower pots are from Ikea. Yay.

We just received and planted them today.  We’ll put up some more pics here as we go… can’t wait to post our lemons.

After a few weeks, both the small plant and the large plant look like they’re going great in their new spots.  Only another few months and we can likely put them outside on the patio.  They’ll surely be happy there!

Only a month and we have a half dozen lemons in the branches 3/18/2019

After doing a lot of research about how to care for the plants, we’ve kept them nicely watered.  Just a month has done by, and my spousal unit says they’ve grown ‘a lot’.  I’ve not seen much growth myself, but the plants do seem to be healthy and like their spot.

There are just a few leaves that seem to be getting ‘eaten’ or split.  I will dash the plant with some diatomaceous earth and we’ll see what happens.  Maybe I’ll try some Neem Oil, too.

Most exciting: we’ve got about a half dozen tiny itty bitty little lemons on the branches. They are very tiny, smaller than a half of a dime. Looking good…

Diatomaceous Earth is absolutely the best all natural pest and bug control. It works great, and it’s all we use for stink bug and other creepy crawling pests in the house and out.  (Just be careful not to inhale it.
